Agile Planning

Let's talk about what breaks Agile. External dependencies! Effective Agile planning focuses on managing the system and not the people, removing impediments to enable team members, and maintaining mission focus to drive understanding of delivery risk.

The Agile Manifesto

Accelian's approach to Agile Planning focuses on the core principles of the Agile Manifesto. Although we incorporate all of the Agile Manifesto principles, the core of our methodology centers on effective communication that leads to 'satisfying customers through early and continuous delivery of valuable software'. To institute this principle, we believe it is necessary to engage all of the members of an organization related to the delivery of products and services NOT just business people and developers.

Agile techniques should not be viewed as pure development efforts; rather they should be used as a tool for overall delivery.

Our approach to Agile Planning is inclusive of all aspects of an organization: engineering, production support, customer service, finance, security and legal. Expanding agile development techniques to include planning for the entire organization allows us to more effectively remove impediments, overcome miscommunications, increase speed to market, and reduce delivery risk.
